i wasn't really an American Idol fanatic until the recent season. I was infected with my colleagues' virus of American Idol. lol. i remember the first time I saw it, it was in Q TV since we didn't have cable then. it was fun and entertaining though. That was still the part where they were still choosing who will qualify to be "IN". I remember the funniest moments, when Rolando Lapuz (dunno if i am writing his name correctly), sang the "i am your brother song..." i was laughing till my eyes were in tears and my stomach was growling. I was laughing when the judges joined him, especially when Paula Abdul danced and Rolando hugged Simon Cowell. it was the best! go go go...
Towards the finals, (am taking as if this was a basketball game...hahahhaa) I found Sayesha Mercado, David Archuleta and of course David Cook the most promising and talented ones. But then again, like what Simon said, this is not just a singing competition. Text votes matter!
When the competition ended with David Cook being the winner, i wasn't bitter. I know he was worth it. Although i would agree also that it was a close fight between the two of them. (David Archuleta and David Cook)
These events just flashed my mind this Sunday morning because as I am writing this, I am listening to his "Always be my baby" rendition which was very good, I meant, amazing! He was superb! He was really a singer...I meant a performer...I meant a Star...(lol)
He was worth the American Idol Title. Go go David Cook.
